Waste generation is an inevitable part of our living. Modern lifestyle has added immensely to the wastes that are being generated daily. Tackling this waste effectively is a challenge that is giving nightmares to governmental policy makers. To mitigate the rising tension levels over this glaring issue,Incinerators Kerala has pioneered a move that will allow economic utilization of waste for generating electrical energy.
Electricity generation from waste – Incinerator at Trivandrum
Our waste management firm is building a massive waste incinerating plant at Trivandrum,Kerala. Waste would be burnt for steam production which would drive a turbine. At its peak operational capacity, the plant will be able to generate one megawatts of electrical power sufficient for catering to the electricity needs of about one hundred households.
The residual garbage remaining after waste recycling would be incinerated. Initially, 1,40,000 Kgs of remnant garbage would be incinerated with the figures going up progressively as capacity expansion of plant is undertaken. The ash will invariably contain metal. This will be subjected to extraction and recycling and employed for covering landfills or in construction sites. A wave of optimism has swept the GTA area as this project is going to be the first incinerator to be constructed in the area in twenty two years.
Environmental sanctity is not going to be compromised while managing waste. The project will abide by the federal environmental regulations and would have safeguards in place to check any adverse impact on the health of the community members in the vicinity. This trailblazing step indeed is a concrete step towards transforming unmanageable waste into energy needed to drive useful activities for human society. The project will offer reliable solution to burgeoning waste. The capital investment for the project is measly when compared to benefits the society would accrue.
